Description

It’s a Scheduled Life is a Work Planner, a Life Admin Planner, a Project Planner and whatever else you can think of. It’s a planner without dates, days or rules. You can start your week on a Sunday, a Monday or even a Wednesday. It doesn’t even have to have days of the week. Whatever works for you and how you decide it’s going to be used.

  • e.g. A Personal Trainer could use the weekly spread view for their daily client programs.
  • e.g. A busy mum could use it for the kids sports and activities schedules.
  • e.g. A Project Manager begins a project on a Thursday. She could use the planner and start it as Day 1.

“I use my planner as a Work Planner in conjunction with my email calendar. Yes, it doubles up by writing things down but it helps my mind catch up with my brain sometimes. What I write sticks in my memory better than when I type it. It’s also the best Dooms Day device – Powers off, no electronics; I still know what I’m meant to be doing, who I’m meant to be seeing and where I’m meant to be going.”
Carly Reading, InkBlotVA

Planner Details of note:

  • The pages are slightly thinner than regular copy paper. This is because they lay flat at this weight and you can leave the planner open. Heavier paper doesn’t want to lay lay there by itself, it wants to flick back to the cover.
  • The page size is the smidgiest smidge bit smaller than an A4.
  • Also, we’ve not wasted any paper by having those seemingly useless blank pages at the beginning and the end. We’ve only put in what we need.

I have just got my planner, and I am IN LOVE. As an AD and project manager, the format gives me the flexibility to use it before, during and after the project is complete. This way, it is both a dot point life scheduler, and also a week long, 16 hourday day organiser. It’s so malleable! I also love the hard cover, that also has an almost leather feel to it – very suave, and the thinner pages means I can lay it flat. Perfect for a lefty like me!

Thankyou, Carly! I LOVE this planner!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I’ve struggled for ages to find the perfect tool to organise all of the balls I’m trying to juggle – professional, business, personal, social – and have just ended up with multiple calendars, different online tools, a multitude of post it notes, and a chaotic whiteboard.
I’ve been using It’s A Scheduled Life for two weeks now, and honestly … I actually feel calm and in control of what’s happening. I’ve got everything in one place, in a format that works FOR ME.
I’ve got all of my business appointments as well as reminders for social postings, business development activities and general administrative stuff, all of my personal and social activities scheduled and visible, reminders of keys dates (I’m no longer relying on Facebook for birthday reminders – YAY!), I can keep track of bills to pay and invoices to send. I use one of the spaces on the weekly view to detail my key priorities for the week and I’ve even started to plan meals and my grocery shopping.
The flexibility of format and design means that I haven’t had to make any compromises on how I want to use the planner. I’ve been able to customise the planner to be 100% what I want and need.
Honestly, it blows any other planner I’ve tried out of the water. An easy five stars for It’s A Scheduled Life!

As a cosplayer I can safely say this planner is amazing. The hard cover makes it easy to take anywhere. There are lots of pages at the front for notes which makes them easily accessible. There is lots of room to write which is good if you have large or messy handwriting like mine. The pages are very durable, I erased many times on one page and it never tore nor did the pencil smudge across the page. There are lots of pages at the back for listing tasks, writing your daily or weekly timetables, daily reminders or even planning days out. It also comes with a bookmark so I’m never flipping through the pages to find where I was previously writing.
I would recommend this planner to everyone. It helped me so much with planning out what cosplays I am doing and what date I need those cosplays by.

For the past 11 years in business, I’ve always been a big to-do list creator. At the end of each day, I’d check my morning list and re-do a list for the following day. And then I found Carly’s ‘It’s a scheduled life’ planner. The first thing I loved is that there are no set dates, so purchasing now, means I can use it for the full year ahead and not need to buy another one when the new year kicks in.

Here’s how I’m using this planner. I started by writing the month in the top section. I then assigned a column to each part of my business (i.e. main client, copy jobs, other). Under these columns, I write down what I need to do. Now rather than re-doing my lists each night, I open up my planner each morning and can clearly see what I am up to and keep working down my list, adding jobs as I need to. I no longer have scrappy bits of paper with a million lists! I’m sure there are so many more ways I can use the planner that I’ll learn in time. I did find the dots down the bottom of the page amazing for doodling (join the dots) when you’re on the phone and getting bored!
